Job Summary
Perform basic electrical repairs, light plumbing work, carpentry, painting, and custodial duties for residential units. Respond to work orders and resident requests, conducting move-in and move-out inspections while completing make-ready processes for vacant apartments. Replace broken fixtures, appliances, and flooring materials, and perform scheduled preventive maintenance based on manufacturer manuals. Keep accurate records of inventories, purchase orders, and work history, and report concerns to the manager promptly. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for emergency or scheduled shifts.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year minimum maintenance work experience
- experience in a related field
- High School Diploma
- training or experience in carpentry
- training or experience in light plumbing work
- training or experience in light electrical work
- training or experience in painting
- training or experience in refurbishing
- training or experience in cleaning
- training or experience in air-conditioning
- Valid Driver's License
- acceptable driving record
- Willingness to pitch in and work in areas other than strictly repair maintenance
- Must be personable and trustworthy
- ability to work well with residents and co-workers
- ability to perform work in a safety conscious manner
- ability to read, speak and comprehend work instructions and safety notices in the English language
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays if required for emergency, on-call or scheduled shifts
