Job Summary
Conduct basic electrical repairs, light plumbing work, carpentry, painting, and appliance fixes for residential units. Respond to work orders and resident requests while performing custodial duties, grounds maintenance, and unit inspections. Replace broken fixtures, glass, and flooring; assist with move-in/move-out inspections and make-ready processes. Keep accurate records of preventive maintenance and inventory materials. Operate within OSHA safety standards and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year minimum maintenance work experience
- experience in a related field
- High School Diploma
- training or experience in carpentry
- training or experience in light plumbing work
- training or experience in light electrical work
- training or experience in painting
- training or experience in refurbishing
- training or experience in cleaning
- training or experience in air-conditioning
- Any specific certifications required by the property
- Valid Driver's License
- acceptable driving record
- Willingness to pitch in and work in areas other than strictly repair maintenance
- Must be personable and trustworthy
- ability to work well with residents and co-workers
- ability to perform work in a safety conscious manner
- ability to read, speak and comprehend work instructions and safety notices in the English language
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays if required for emergency, on-call or scheduled shifts
