Job Summary
Complete maintenance service requests for Brighton Chase Apartments, performing plumbing repairs on sinks, faucets, and toilets, and replacing company-owned appliances like refrigerators and washers. Diagnose and repair minor HVAC issues, including fan motors and thermostats, while handling electrical work such as light fixtures and outlets. Prepare recently vacated units for move-ins, facilitate snow and ice removal, and perform painting, carpentry, and pool maintenance as assigned. Work a 40-hour week with a rotating on-call schedule. Requires a high school diploma or GED and experience with general maintenance tools.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- relevant maintenance experience
- Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use of general maintenance equipment and tools (hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, measuring devices)
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair light electrical, carpentry, and plumbing issues
- Ability to communicate with staff members, tenants, and vendors
- Displays a positive, friendly and professional attitude with a strong focus on customer service
- Ability to work individually and as a part of a cohesive team
- an ability to be on one's feet for extended periods of time
- an ability to lift and move materials or equipment up to 50 pounds
