Job Summary
Complete all maintenance assignments for mechanical equipment, emergency systems, and building fixtures while assisting outside vendors. Perform inspections, report deficiencies to the Director, and maintain grounds including trash removal, sweeping, and snowplowing. Test resident security systems, assist with custodial duties like carpet cleaning, and climb ladders to operate drills, saws, and snow blowers. Work various shifts, weekends, and holidays, lifting up to 75 pounds and standing for prolonged periods. Maintain regulatory compliance knowledge and interact positively with team members and residents, including the elderly.
Required Qualifications
- Two years education and/or experience in maintenance, preferably residential property management
- Skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, appliances, doors & windows
- Ability to motivate oneself and work independently
- Organizational skills
- Ability to relate to the elderly in a patient, compassionate and courteous manner
- Maintains confidentiality
- Able to read, write, spell, do basic math, speak and understand English
- Ability to work various shifts, weekends, holidays, evenings and/or overnights
Desired Qualifications
- Boiler License helpful
