Job Summary
Perform plant troubleshooting and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations, with a focus on rebuilding and aligning rotating equipment. Rebuild rotating equipment, maintain local equipment files, conduct preventative maintenance activities, and manage spare parts inventories. Troubleshoot and mitigate plant process issues while assisting in the development of plant Maintenance Procedures. Maintain all shop and parts storage areas in a clean and orderly fashion. Work an 8-hour day shift with some weekends, overtime, and possible holidays. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- HS degree or GED
- At least 5 years experience working in general maintenance
- Strong technical knowledge/skills
- Willing and able to work an 8-hour day shift with some weekends, overtime, and possible holidays
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to climb multiple flights of stairs
- Must be able to perform various tasks using reaching, pulling, and pushing techniques
- Must be medically cleared to utilize self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), in-line air with full face respirator, and other respiratory equipment
- Ability to lift 50 pounds routinely throughout the work day
- Ability to walk up to a 1/4 mile on a regular basis throughout the work day
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with plant maintenance with emphasis on pump maintenance, tank agitators, product conveyors, and elevator maintenance
- Strong mathematical/analytical skills
- Basic knowledge of chemistry
- Demonstrated track record in process maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with personnel in a professional manner
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Strong people skills; must be comfortable with personnel from the shop floor to the executive suite
- Computer literate – MS Office, SAP
- Knowledge of HAZWOPER, OSHA, PSM, RCRA, DOT regulations
