Maintenance Technician - Temporary Full Time

Job Summary

Plan, implement, and resolve maintenance tasks across multiple sites in Guelph-Wellington, including hands-on work for painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs, and appliance maintenance. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on physical facilities, equipment, and grounds, while managing pool maintenance and fleet vehicle support. Collaborate with the Leadership team, Manager of Property Enhancement, and outside contractors to complete specialized projects. Maintain awareness of government regulations, industry standards, and safety procedures. Work flexible hours during low-traffic times to ensure task completion.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ Years' experience in building and residential maintenance
  • University or college degree/diploma in a relevant field
  • Must have a valid class G driver's license
  • Current First Aid, CPR certifications
  • Current Vulnerable sector check
  • Commitment to maintaining compliance and best practices
  • Must be able to work a variety of hours, specifically during low traffic times at each program to ensure completion of work
  • Ability to use common tools, such as hammers, hoisters, saws, drills, wrenches, etc
  • Must have strong knowledge of swimming pool maintenance and Public Health requirements
  • Ability to use Maintenance software to improve efficiency of work
  • Possess and demonstrate knowledge of First Aid, WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety Act, fire prevention and safety procedures and other areas as deemed necessary by the agency
  • Must have strong knowledge of swimming pool maintenance and Public Health requirements
  • Ability to use common tools, such as hammers, hoisters, saws, drills, wrenches, etc

Desired Qualifications
