Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on apartment homes, common areas, buildings, and community amenities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting. Complete resident service requests promptly and conduct move-out inspections to prepare punch lists for apartment turnover. Troubleshoot building systems, maintain grounds and exteriors, and respond to emergency maintenance requests during the scheduled on-call rotation. Document all work orders and maintain organized maintenance records while adhering to OSHA regulations and safety protocols. Treat residents and vendors with professionalism to ensure a safe, attractive living environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Technical or trade school education
- Minimum of two (2) years of apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, and painting
- EPA Certification or ability to obtain
- CPO certification for communities with pools
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
