Job Summary
Complete service requests and maintenance work orders for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, drywall, and painting. Diagnose and repair building systems while performing preventative maintenance on community equipment and grounds. Prepare vacant units for new residents through make-ready and turn processes. Conduct routine inspections of buildings, amenities, and equipment to identify safety concerns. Assist with emergency maintenance situations and participate in an on-call rotation. Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and inventory while communicating with residents and vendors. Ensure all tasks comply with safety standards and company policies. Manage maintenance supplies and support capital improvement initiatives as needed. Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Current automobile insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as required by the position
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Previous apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general maintenance practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Basic computer and mobile technology skills for work order management systems and communication platforms

- Additional industry certifications
- Experience with Yardi, ResMan, On-Site, or other property management software
