Job Summary
Responsibilities: Perform minor repairs and services in all maintenance-related disciplines, including carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, minor electrical, finish work, painting, HVAC, etc., unrelated to building property management work. With direction from a supervisor, prioritize work orders, handle urgent requests, respond to calls as required, and complete any assigned preventative maintenance work and procedures. Help to ensure all building and maintenance policies, procedures, codes, regulations, etc., are followed and enforced, including safety systems and standards. Handle occasional non-technical repairs of the facility (e.g., hanging pictures, desk repairs, ceiling repairs, etc.). Periodic overnight travel (one week every other month) may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in HVAC or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or equivalent related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 2 to 3 years of mechanical experience preferably in a commercial or industrial facility with an emphasis in facility maintenance plus experience with electrical, building equipment and building repairs
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and be resourceful
- Customer service skills
- Flexible and adaptable
- Must pass a criminal background check and have a clean driving record
