Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for routine and preventative maintenance to support Sun communities, performing home/building repairs, grounds upkeep, snow removal, irrigation/system water testing, and delivering customer service to residents. Tasks include trash/debris cleanup, minor repairs, irrigation inspections, maintaining vacant sites, snow removal, lawn care, ensuring safe walkways and access, water testing for well/systems, reporting issues to management, pre/post-occupancy condition checklists, maintaining curb appeal, cleaning facilities, supervising contractors, inspecting playgrounds/pool/recreational areas, assisting with move-in/move-out positioning, maintaining community vehicles and equipment, and following safety procedures. The role requires ability to operate tools and machinery, knowledge of plumbing/electrical/grounds maintenance, and the capacity to work on-call with physical outdoor work; HS diploma or GED required; valid driver’s license and lifting capability of at least 50 lbs. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to endure fluctuations in temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
- Ability to work an on-call schedule
- Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance
