Job Summary
Maintenance Technician role at The Lofts at USC, Columbia, focusing on maintenance requests, grounds and common-area upkeep, and resident relations. Responsibilities include completing routine service requests within 24 hours, keeping the maintenance shop orderly, reporting issues to supervisors, assisting with make-ready turnover and vendor coordination, daily common-area inspections, on-call coverage including weekends, and adherence to safety and company policies. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Certified HVAC as required
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Ability to climb and work from ladders; ability to lift and carry heavy loads
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Able to work weekends or overtime as job requires
- Effective time management and multi-tasking abilities
- Willingness to learn and maintain knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and basic construction
