Maintenance Technician - Student Housing

Job Summary
Complete routine service requests within 24 hours, ensuring clean community conditions through daily spot cleaning of model and vacant units, common area inspections before 9 am, and peak day trash pickup. Perform make-ready preparations by installing vendor locks, completing turnkey checklists, and coordinating with supervisors for unit approvals. Manage pool chemical logs, maintain MSDS/OSHA/EPA records, and conduct monthly safety inspections, car checks, and quarterly unit filter replacements. Provide on-call coverage for non-business hours and weekend common area oversight while reporting maintenance issues and supply needs to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of electric, plumbing, HVAC and basic construction
- A general mechanical aptitude combined with a willingness and desire to learn
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Professional demeanor resulting from previous maintenance experience

- Certified HVAC as required
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
