Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues, and complete repairs on automated material handling equipment including conveyors, AGVs, and robotic systems. Diagnose failures, conduct root cause analysis, and restore systems to operational status after breakdowns. Document all activities in maintenance logs and collaborate with customer contacts to resolve technical challenges. Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety requirements while supporting continuous improvement efforts. Occasional after-hours emergency support may be required. This role supports day-to-day equipment performance onsite at a customer facility in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience maintaining industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or automated equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with conveyor systems, AGVs, robotics, or automated material handling equipment
- Familiarity with industrial controls, sensors, and instrumentation
- Basic understanding of PLC-controlled equipment
- Experience working in distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or automated environments
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb as needed
- Ability to lift and move equipment and materials up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely perform maintenance activities in an industrial environment
- Onsite at Scholastic in Jefferson City, Missouri
- Monday through Friday schedule
- No regular travel required
- Occasional emergency support outside normal business hours may be necessary
