Maintenance Technician (Stationary)

Job Summary

Conduct facility walkthroughs to monitor mechanical, electrical, and other equipment systems, then perform preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to ensure uptime and asset integrity. Troubleshoot deficiencies in facility operations, manage the full work order life cycle from dispatch to completion, and record resolution data within the service maintenance database. Assist in implementing preventative maintenance programs while escalating identified issues and maintaining related documentation. Comply with all internal and external environmental, health, safety, and fire protection requirements, including wearing required PPE and adhering to corporate policies. Respond to routine and on-demand service requests, off-hour emergency calls, and standby rotations as needed. Maintain assigned tools, submit expenditures timely, and support lower-level technician development through mentoring.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma plus trades training and/or certification or licensing
  • Minimum 3 years' experience providing preventive and corrective maintenance on heating ventilation and air conditions systems, or pneumatic or hydraulic systems
  • Sound knowledge of processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair (as per applicable qualifications) mechanical and other building systems and equipment
  • Possesses a strong environmental, health, and safety mindset
  • Strong client-service orientation along with a high sense of urgency
  • Knowledge and understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • Effective communication skills for the purpose of data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification
  • Mentoring skills required to support lower-level technician's development
  • Must be able and willing to work shifts, be available for on call/standby and emergency callouts as they arise
  • Must strictly adhere to Health and Safety policies including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Must be capable of obtaining appropriate security clearance
  • Ability to work at heights and from ladders
  • Ability to regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
  • Respond to off hour emergency calls
