Job Summary
Maintenance Technician Standby responsible for the overall maintenance of an apartment community, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs, to support a positive resident experience. Role requires living on-site in a company-provided apartment and being available to respond to after-hours emergency calls on a rotating basis. Duties include evaluating and resolving work orders, plumbing tasks (pipe fitting, shut offs, sink replacements, faucet installations, garbage disposal installations), diagnosing HVAC and boiler issues, appliance repairs, carpentry (doors, doorjambs, drywall, caulking, trim), electrical work (switches, outlets, light fixtures), tile/tub surround replacement, inventory monitoring, and other duties as assigned. EPA certification is required (must obtain within 120 days of start via company-paid training); HVAC experience strongly preferred; CPO certification and pool maintenance skills preferred. Must maintain professional appearance, communicate effectively with residents and coworkers, have basic computer skills, and hold a valid driver’s license. Required Qualifications
