Job Summary

Perform general facility repairs, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work for the campus football stadium, press box, concession areas, and athletic grounds. Replace damaged fixtures, hang sheetrock, install doors, and execute concrete or masonry repairs throughout the stadium and concourse. Prepare materials lists for work orders and assist with event set-ups, game-day preparation, and post-game breakdowns. Work independently following university policies with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and game-day schedules. Lift up to 70 lbs and wear protective gear while operating power tools. Serve on university committees as requested.

Required Qualifications

  • Able to communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License.
  • Three years of experience in the building maintenance or venue facility maintenance field.
  • Must be familiar with general building maintenance trades.
  • Ability to operate power saws, drills, grinders, sanders, and other power hand tools connected with the maintenance and carpentry trade.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evening, weekend, or game-day schedules as needed.
  • May be required to lift, push, or pull up to 70 lbs.
  • May be exposed to chemicals, mechanical, or electrical hazards.
  • May be exposed to dust, fumes, or odoriferous working conditions.
  • May be required to work outdoors in inclement weather.
  • Employee is required to wear protective clothing or devices.
