Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Conduct routine and emergency maintenance, renovation, construction, or replacement of guest lodging, recreational facilities, staff housing, campground, offices, grounds, and infrastructure. Participate in solution-oriented team efforts for all project-based tasks while maintaining accountability to the Facility Manager. Perform duties requiring long periods of standing on uneven terrain, lifting 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and repetitive arm motions. Work rotating days, weekends, holidays, and on-call schedules. Must affirm Spruce Lake Ministries mission, vision, beliefs, and core values with a teachable spirit, servant heart, and above-reproach conduct.
Required Qualifications

- Must be responsible, industrious, hospitable, and enthusiastic
- Conducts him/herself in a manner that is above reproach
- Effective interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
- Minimum two years' progressive experience in construction industry with focus on carpentry skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic math, reading and computation skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
- Willingness to learn and practice new skills as needed
- Flexibility to work days, weekends, rotating holidays and on call schedule
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time on uneven terrain
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with arms, wrists, shoulders
- Ability to bend, kneel and stretch
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Completion of FBI Criminal Background fingerprint clearance
- PA Child Abuse Clearance
- PA Criminal History Clearance
