MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Job Summary
Manage day-to-day and long-term maintenance of Wilson Lumber equipment by repairing systems, troubleshooting, and completing service requests and preventative maintenance work orders under supervision. Maintain proper scheduling of assigned duties, obtain materials for cost-effective repairs, and report items affecting safe equipment operation. Execute other responsibilities as requested by the Facilities & Maintenance Manager and Logistics Manager, including maintaining documentation of maintenance policies, procedures, and electronic records. Requires two years of maintenance experience, proficiency in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and a valid driver's license. Located at the Madison, AL site with potential support at the Huntsville, AL location.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
- Must be proficient in basic computer skills
- Must have excellent mechanical skills
- Be self-motivated
- Knowledgeable and experienced with general maintenance and safety procedures including but not limited to electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Must have working experience in facilities maintenance, to include but not limited to, painting, plumbing, carpentry, etc
- Valid driver's license required for occasional parts and supply pickups
- Two years maintenance related experience
- Knowledge in Mechanical, HVAC, Carpentry, Welding, PLC driven equipment and Electrical
- Must be able to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently
- Must be able to climb ladders and lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally
- Must be able to adapt to various environments including production
