Job Summary
Respond to and complete work orders timely while performing maintenance on common areas such as pools, laundry facilities, and parking lots. Coordinate daily task prioritization with the Maintenance Supervisor and provide excellent customer service to residents, guests, and vendors. Maintain property value through preventative maintenance and prepare vacant apartments for move-in. Identify and correct safety hazards or hazardous conditions, and maintain critical building and site systems using required trade skills. Track work and performance using software applications. Work a varied schedule including weekends, holidays, and rotating on-call shifts, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of general maintenance/general repair experience, preferably in the multifamily or related industry
- EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification
- Trade skills including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, framing, painting, roofing, cabinetry, pools, appliance, etc.
- Must have own hand tools
- Must live within 30 minutes of community
- Must be willing to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays
- Must have dependable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule
- Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job such as lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds
- Applicants will be required to pass a background check, and reference check prior to their first day to verify their employment eligibility
Desired Qualifications
- Trade Licensing preferred but not required
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but not required
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
