Job Summary
Conduct resident service requests and routine maintenance, including troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs. Execute apartment turnarounds to prepare units for new residents and perform move-in/move-out inspections. Provide technical direction to teammates and manage vendor quality. Work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts. Maintain proficiency in two technical trades while utilizing AIR's technology platform to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of maintenance experience
- Proficient skills in at least two technical trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, 7-day work weeks (depending on community needs and seasonality), and on-call shifts (at least one week a month)
- A reliable mode of transportation to respond to emergency service requests while on-call after hours
- Comfort with physical activity as you must be able and willing to move heavy equipment and machinery
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Must be able to undergo pre-employment screening that includes checking references, a four-panel drug screening that excludes marijuana testing, employment verification & criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- Maintenance experience preferably in some form of facilities or building environment
