Job Summary
Conduct resident service requests and routine maintenance, including troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues. Execute apartment turns to prepare units for new residents and perform move-in/move-out inspections. Provide technical direction and training to teammates while managing vendor quality. Work a flexible schedule involving evenings, weekends, seven-day weeks, and monthly on-call shifts. Requires at least two years of maintenance experience and proficiency in multiple technical trades.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of maintenance experience
- Proficient skills in at least two technical trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, 7-day work weeks (depending on community needs and seasonality), and on-call shifts (at least one week a month)
- A reliable mode of transportation to respond to emergency service requests while on-call after hours
- Comfort with physical activity as you must be able and willing to move heavy equipment and machinery
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Must undergo pre-employment screening that includes checking references, a four-panel drug screening that excludes marijuana testing, employment verification & criminal background check
