Maintenance Technician- Skilled

Job Summary
This role performs hands-on maintenance, repair, and inspection work to ensure buildings, cottages, equipment, mechanical rooms, and service areas are safe, functional, and well-maintained. Responsibilities include routine and skilled maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repairs; troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues; preventive maintenance; responding to work orders campus-wide; supporting safety, cleanliness, and resident services; conducting routine inspections; assisting with seasonal/event tasks; adhering to OSHA and Life Safety Code practices; maintaining documentation; coordinating with teams; ensuring minimal disruption to resident life; on-call rotation and occasional evenings/weekends/holidays; and demonstrating integrity and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years’ experience in building maintenance, facilities, property services, or a similar trade, preferably in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality environments
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or mechanical systems
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and equipment specifications
