Job Summary
Conduct maintenance services and address immediate operational or safety concerns across SGS facilities, laboratories, and sites. Execute work orders for preventative duties on equipment like dust collectors, vehicles, and ventilation hoods, while performing snow removal, groundskeeping, and assisting skilled tradesmen. Transport tools and supplies, arrange furniture for events, and participate in Pilot Plant setups and teardowns. Prepare written materials including activity logs and inspection records, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety and integrity policies. Maintain a clean working environment and respond to emergency situations during and after hours. Extended hours and shift work may be required.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a high school diploma
- Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner
- Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
- Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with others & independently
- Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail
- Works well under pressure
- Extended hours and shift work may be required from time to time
Desired Qualifications
- 2-years previous experience in a related field
- Forklift license or previous experience with forklifts
- Forklift license or previous 2-years' experience
