Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for routine and breakdown maintenance on processing and packaging equipment in a food manufacturing environment. Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, machine setups and rebuilds; reads technical procedures and electrical schematics, and works with service manuals and work orders. Maintains proper function of line manufacturing support systems, adheres to GMP and SOPs, and supports safety policies. Must be readily available for emergency repairs, troubleshoot processes, and maintain documentation. Opportunities available for 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM) and 3rd shift (11:00 PM–7:00 AM).
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Associate’s or Technical School Degree in Mechanics, Electrical, Computer Science or Food Processing preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
- Experience: Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred
- Understanding of preventative maintenance programs required
- Mechanic, pneumatic, hydraulic and basic electrical knowledge required
