Maintenance Technician: Second Shift

Job Summary
Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems including motors, PLCs, conveyors, and welding tasks. Document all work orders via an electronic CMMS system using a mobile device while adhering to safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Processes. Perform preventative actions such as lubrication, filter replacement, and gearbox teardowns, and fabricate or modify parts as needed. Report food safety and quality issues immediately and train junior technicians or operators on equipment procedures. Complete corrective and breakdown maintenance as requested, utilizing precision measuring instruments and various shop tools.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of High School Diploma
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial setting
- Preferably in the food manufacturing industry
- Ability to write work orders, parts requests, shift logs, routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift
- Required to reach with hands and arms, climb, or maintain balance
- Ability to use ladders and/or climb stairs
- Have appropriate eye, hand and foot coordination to properly execute tasks
- PC or tablet competency, and ability to use handheld devices
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to occasionally lift and or move up to 100 pounds with or without assistance
- 2-year technical or community college degree
- Experience with electrical controls
- Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and electronic experience
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of PLC troubleshooting
- Advanced Level 7 years of experience in an industrial setting
- Preferably in the food industry
- Electrician's license
- Welding experience/certification
- Metal fabrication experience
- Food Safety and Quality responsibility
Desired Qualifications
- Mid-Level and Above 2 – 6 years of experience in an industrial setting
- Mid-Level and Above in similar role
- Mid-Level and Above preferably in the food manufacturing industry
- 2-year AAS degree
- Advanced skills with troubleshooting PLC's
