Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Conduct corrective and preventative maintenance on highly automated production equipment while supporting continuous improvement activities and facility tasks. Perform machine troubleshooting using PLC knowledge, hand and power tools, and pneumatics, interpreting wiring and mechanical diagrams to ensure maximum machine availability. Collaborate with production teams and work independently or in groups to solve practical problems using root cause analysis. Requires ability to read safety rules, technical manuals, and interpret diagrams; proficiency in MS Office applications and intermediate mathematics is essential. Food manufacturing experience and SQF practices knowledge are preferred.

- Ability to read and interpret wiring and mechanical Diagrams
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of technical procedures and manuals
- General understanding of intermediate mathematics
- Problem solving skills using root cause analysis and reasoning ability
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and talk and hear
- Ability to lift and / or move up to 15 pounds
- Ability to frequently lift and / or move up to 30 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds
