Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform preventive and routine maintenance on plant equipment, execute scheduled major overhauls on mechanical and electrical systems, and troubleshoot pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical issues. Respond to emergency repairs, support planned shutdown maintenance, and complete basic welding and fabrication tasks. Assist with installation of new equipment, maintain inventory of parts, and uphold safety protocols including lockout/tagout and confined space procedures. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with on-call availability. This role supports efficient plant operations within a team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial or agricultural maintenance environment
- Proven ability to complete maintenance projects successfully
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety and follow all safety protocols
- Working knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Ability to identify components and troubleshoot electrical systems
- Experience with motor starters, PLCs, and solid-state equipment
- Proficient in using hand tools and metal fabrication equipment
- Ability to safely operate: Forklifts
- Ability to safely operate: Aerial lifts
- Ability to safely operate: Skid steers
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with plant leadership and operators
- Respond promptly to plant operational issues
- Thorough understanding of: Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Thorough understanding of: Hot work permits
- Thorough understanding of: Confined space protocols
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach overhead, and climb as needed
- Lift and move heavy materials
- Full use of hands and feet for equipment operation
- Ability to work in harsh environments, including exposure to dust and outdoor conditions
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication skills
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Visual acuity (20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses)
- On-call availability required during scheduled periods
