Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Complete service requests for common areas, occupied and vacant units, including changing lightbulbs, unclogging pipes, fixing faucets, and performing routine plumbing and electrical repairs. Inspect appliances, HVAC systems, and safety devices; troubleshoot defective parts and perform skilled maintenance on compressors, wiring systems, and control panels. Assist with trash outs, unit turns, and correcting potential liabilities to ensure resident satisfaction. This role requires a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies and 99-100% time on feet. S2 Residential is dedicated to creating exceptional living experiences for residents across Texas, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Type II or Universal EPA Certification
- Valid driver license and auto liability insurance
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to continuously walk for 8 or more hours per day
- Ability to frequently move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to transport and move appliances up to 100 pounds
- Ability to climb, stoop, bend and grasp objects
- Visual acuity to perform transcribing, operating machines, and motor vehicles
- Visual acuity to determine accuracy and neatness of work assigned
- Visual acuity for visual inspection involving small defects and parts
- Ability to remain in a stationary sitting position or stationary standing position 90% of the time
- Ability to work any of the seven days of the week, 52 weeks of the year
- Ability to be on a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours/weekend emergencies
