Job Summary
Maintenance Technician role focusing on troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of specialized production machinery to minimize downtime. Responsibilities include diagnosing 480V 3-phase electrical issues with multimeters, performing mechanical repairs on extruders and proprietary machinery, servicing industrial boilers and steam-curing systems, and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems and motors. The position requires availability for off-shift assignments (afternoon or overnight) and reporting to the Maintenance Manager in a union facility with benefits and pre-employment checks (background, physical, drug screening).
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Electrical Skills: Experience with high-voltage industrial power distribution and complex multi-phase systems
- Multi-Craft Versatility: Hydraulics/pneumatics and mechanical diagnostics
- Proven aptitude on standardized technical/mechanical proficiency assessments
- Operational flexibility for off-shift assignments (afternoon or overnight)
- Background check, physical, and drug screening prior to hire
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair 480V 3-phase electrical systems
- Experience maintaining industrial boilers and steam-curing systems
