Job Summary
Conduct general maintenance tasks, including service requests, unit turns, and make-ready activities for vacant apartments. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems while performing daily property walks to inspect exteriors, parking lots, and common areas. Respond to resident service requests with minimal callbacks and resolve maintenance emergencies during and after scheduled hours. Ensure property curb appeal meets standards and coordinate work orders with the on-site office team. Travel to various sites within the Seattle to Everett region and maintain a rotating on-call schedule for off-hours emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in property maintenance, general maintenance/construction, or a related field
- Multi-family property management experience
- Experience using HappyCo or another similar property maintenance software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of integrity and compassion with an emphasis on teamwork, inclusion, growth, and customer service
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job and work with paints, pool chemicals, and other potentially hazardous materials in compliance with safety standards
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, and other environmental elements
- Available to be on a rotating on-call schedule for emergencies outside of normal working hours
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work on-site and travel to various locations
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds
- Ability to walk the properties several times daily, up to 10 miles a day
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces and climb several flights of stairs on a regular basis
- Ability to visually and audibly observe and detect signs of emergency
- Ability to sit, stand, reach, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time
- Ability to use standard maintenance equipment
- Ability to speak and express or exchange ideas by means of written and spoken word
- Ability to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a drug test
Desired Qualifications
- Multi-family property management experience is preferred
- Experience using HappyCo or another similar property maintenance software is a plus
