Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for preventative maintenance, work orders, and unit turns at Allers Landing in Austin, TX. Duties include general maintenance of multifamily properties (electrical, plumbing, appliances), cleaning/painting during unit turns, and maintaining clear communication with Property Managers, Maintenance Managers, and Residents. Must participate in on-call rotation (emergency calls after hours and on weekends) and be able to lift up to 75 pounds, climb stairs, and work a flexible schedule. Tools are provided by the candidate; role emphasizes customer service, attention to detail, and an entrepreneurial, collaborative mindset.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years property maintenance experience (apartment maintenance preferred)
- 2+ years customer service experience preferred
- Provide own hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, drill, etc.)
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work weekend and evening on-call schedule
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to perform physical functions (lift up to 75 pounds, climb stairs, ladders/scaffolding)
- Maintaining neat, professional appearance
