Job Summary
Conduct daily maintenance, repairs, and inspections across building systems, equipment, and public spaces to keep the facility safe, clean, and functional. Perform carpentry, fabrication, and general construction tasks while troubleshooting issues to ensure proper equipment operation. Maintain high standards in mechanical areas, groundskeeping, and housekeeping duties including mopping, scrubbing, and debris removal. Follow preventative maintenance schedules, complete accurate daily logs, and manage inventory of critical parts within budget guidelines. Respond to operational needs, assist other departments, and adhere to all safety procedures and SOPs while communicating effectively via radios. Work flexible shifts covering days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to support an attraction operating 365 days a year.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of general mechanical, technical, building maintenance, or facilities experience
- Experience with general contracting, repairs, installations, and facility upkeep
- Able to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints, schematics, manuals, and work instructions
- Confident using hand tools, power tools, ladders, maintenance equipment, and radio-based communication equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Available to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and shifts outside regular operating hours
- Able to perform physical labour, lift materials, work with tools, and complete strenuous tasks safely
