Job Summary
Position: Maintenance Technician for Richmond, IN (1099 contract). Responsible for responding to maintenance requests, performing general repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, and appliance installation; completing apartment turns; conducting property inspections; and ensuring safety and code compliance. Requires own tools, reliable transportation, ability to work independently, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and proficiency with documenting work in the property management system.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a skilled trade
- Own tools and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Smartphone with camera and email access for job documentation and updates
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must pass a background check
