Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Respond to and complete work orders timely to drive resident satisfaction, while performing maintenance on pools, laundry facilities, clubhouses, and parking lots to ensure common areas remain clean, safe, and attractive. Coordinate daily task prioritization with the Maintenance Supervisor and provide excellent customer service to residents, guests, and vendors. Execute preventative maintenance throughout the property, prepare vacant apartments for move-in, and identify or correct hazardous conditions and maintenance needs to ensure a safe work environment. Maintain and repair critical building and site systems using hand tools, while utilizing software applications to track work and personal performance.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of general maintenance/general repair experience, preferably in the multifamily or related industry
- Must have own hand tools
- Must live within 30 minutes of community
- Must be willing to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays
- Must have dependable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule
- Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job such as lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds
- Applicants will be required to pass a background check, and reference check prior to their first day to verify their employment eligibility
Desired Qualifications
- EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred
- Trade Licensing preferred but not required
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but not required
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
