Job Summary
Complete resident service requests and perform repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances to ensure a safe living environment. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance throughout the community while preparing apartments for move-in with touch-ups and cleaning. Assist with grounds upkeep, maintain accurate work records, and participate in the voluntary emergency call assistance program. Follow all safety protocols and building codes while operating tools and equipment safely. Work flexible hours including weekends, climb ladders, and handle objects up to 50 pounds as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of general maintenance experience, preferably in residential or property management
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in apartment maintenance or multi-family housing
- Trade school or certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems
- OSHA or safety training
