Job Summary
Conduct preventive and routine maintenance, promptly complete service requests, and respond to emergency after-hours calls. Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs, including lifting and carrying 30 lbs up three flights of stairs. Maintain HVAC certification or obtain it with employer-paid training. Work a 40-hour full-time schedule with rotating weekend coverage and an on-call rotation. Submit service requests and follow written policies under the direction of the Maintenance Foreman and Apartment Manager. Bilingual ability is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- More than one (1) year experience in building trade/apartment maintenance
- HVAC certification or promptly obtain this certification
- Basic electrical, plumbing, appliance maintenance and repair
- Lift and carry 30 lbs. up three flights of stairs if there is no elevator
- Rotating schedule for on-call emergency after-hours response
- Current driver's license with non-rated auto insurance to be verified
- Understand and follow written policies
- Work under direction of your Maintenance Foreman and Apartment Manager
- Promptly and expertly attend to preventive and routine maintenance
- Prompt completion of service requests and emergency responses
