Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of duties related to the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment. Key responsibilities include performing emergency and scheduled repairs, mechanical skills such as electrical and hydraulic repair, reading equipment manuals, diagnosing equipment issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The role requires the ability to use various tools and handle heavy equipment, along with performing plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance functions. The technician must also maintain clean work areas and be on call for occasional weekend duties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- General knowledge of general repair and equipment maintenance
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to work on rooftops
