Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician performs diversified duties to install, maintain, and enhance production machines and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations of facilities. Responsibilities include providing emergency and unscheduled repairs, executing scheduled maintenance, and performing mechanical tasks such as troubleshooting, HVAC service, plumbing, and carpentry. The technician will work independently, read equipment manuals, evaluate work orders, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The role requires on-call availability for weekends and involves significant physical activity including lifting, walking, and driving to multiple locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- General knowledge of general repair and equipment maintenance
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds
- Capability to stand or walk for long periods
- Ability to climb ladders and work on rooftops
- Capable of reading and interpreting instruction manuals and work orders
