Job Summary
Maintain apartment property and common areas by diagnosing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry issues while completing service requests within 24 hours. Respond promptly to 24-hour emergency maintenance calls and address all urgent situations immediately. Prepare units for new residents according to Arqline standards and perform daily grounds maintenance to ensure excellent curb appeal. Routinely inspect building mechanical systems, adjust controls for air conditioning and boilers, and maintain assigned equipment in good working condition. Assist with casual labor such as lifting heavy items and report any problems to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two (2) years related experience in apartment maintenance or related field
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- HVAC Certification
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to detect auditory and visual emergency alarms
- Ability to grasp and feel objects and equipment
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required
- Ability to repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
