Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform routine and emergency maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, instrumentation, and mechanical systems throughout the plant while troubleshooting repairs to minimize downtime. Maintain and inspect critical systems handling liquid chlorine, ferrous chloride, and ferric chloride, alongside executing preventative maintenance tasks. Assist with equipment installations, piping modifications, and shutdown/start-up activities, and manage general facility repairs including building, lighting, plumbing, and grounds upkeep. Uphold the Nicholson Nine and Responsible Care Guiding principles, with a requirement to be on call and possess a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 pounds with ease
- Ability to work at elevated heights
- High School Diploma
- Willing to learn
- Positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Ability to be on call
- Knowledgeable of all facility departments and specific functions
- Knowledgeable of building emergency and security procedures
- Applicants must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
Desired Qualifications
- PIT license
- Manlift license
- 0 - 5 years of building/equipment maintenance related experience
- Familiar with problem solving techniques
