Job Summary
Conduct day-to-day janitorial and maintenance services for assigned properties, including lawn care, snow removal, and cleaning common areas per approved procedures. Perform basic and intermediate repairs on plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, carpentry, painting, and drywall while maintaining tool and supply inventory. Respond to tenant emergencies for fire, security, or alarms, and coordinate vendors and contractors as needed. Complete written activity reports and adhere to the maintenance schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid NY State Driver License
- access to a reliable vehicle
- One or more years of building and grounds maintenance experience
- Trade-specific training
- Ability to ascend/descend stairs
- Ability to lift, push and/or reach for objects
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and/or stand while performing duties
- Ability to work with all levels of personnel
- High energy level
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. without assistance
- Mechanical aptitude
- Reliable and insured transportation
- Valid NYS driver's license and driving record acceptable to agency
- Openness to flexible schedule
- Good reading comprehension and writing skills
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with tenants
- Police record that is acceptable per organizational standards
- No barriers with illegal substance use
- Honesty
- Courteousness
