Job Summary
Maintenance Technician at MRK responsible for repairs, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and performing preventative maintenance across assigned properties. Tasks include restoring vacated apartments to move-in condition, snow/ice/leaf removal from exterior areas, completing janitorial requirements, responding to on-call emergencies on weekends/evenings/holidays, and daily property patrols to identify cleaning needs and remove debris. Requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of maintenance or construction experience (one year as a full-charge residential maintenance technician preferred), knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations and plumbing/electric/machinery repair proficiency, ability to work with a flex schedule, on-call availability, and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years of maintenance or construction experience
- One year of experience as a full-charge residential maintenance technician is preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations is preferred
- EPA certification preferred
- HVAC certification preferred
- Must be able to work a flex schedule and be on-call for emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Requires the ability to read, speak and comprehend the English language
- Proficiency in performing plumbing, electric and machinery repair
- Ability to follow direction and work independently in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Must have hand tools
- ANSI approved steel-toe shoes/composite
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Must have reliable transportation
- Willing to assist with other properties within the portfolio and surrounding portfolios as needed
- Willing to travel up to 10-20% of the time
