Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for assisting on maintenance projects, performing preventative and make-ready tasks (painting, appliance repair, plumbing, electrical fixtures), inspecting and maintaining building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, alarms), responding to emergencies, snow removal, and coordinating with residents and staff. Requires ability to read/write English, 3+ years of residential property maintenance experience, working knowledge of common appliances and equipment, and a flexible schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or Equivalent
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a residential property management maintenance technician
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other systems
- Experience in operating a variety of equipment and small hand tools
- Ability to read and write English fluently and perform on-site resident management software functions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Experience communicating with tenants and coordinating with staff and contractors
