Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician performs safe, efficient repair, preventative maintenance, and cleaning of plant equipment at POET’s bioprocessing facility. Responsibilities include maintaining boiler and cooling tower systems, handling equipment such as centrifuges, pumps, motors, gearboxes, heat exchangers, and conveyors, troubleshooting issues, performing LOTO procedures, operating water filtration and DCS systems, using Maximo for materials coordination, training new team members, and ensuring a culture of safety and environmental compliance. The role requires 12-hour shifts (days, 3-2-2-3 rotation), on-site in Chancellor, SD, with opportunities for growth and advancement within a team-focused environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Documented successful performance as a Maintenance Technician I or equivalent work experience required.
- Experience with fabrication, welding, cutting; repair of equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, airlocks, fans/blowers, agitator assemblies, and valves; boiler operations and water chemistry; material handling systems such as conveyors; preventative maintenance practices, fabrication and repair of metal/plastic piping systems; and instrument and electrical work preferred.
