Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive maintenance, safety inspections, make-ready repairs, and grounds upkeep at Bay Meadow Apartments; diagnose and perform routine repairs, ensure compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations, and assist in keeping grounds neat and clean. Requires at least 1 year of apartment maintenance experience, High School diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license with automobile insurance; HVAC certification preferred. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and on-call, and perform physically demanding tasks (lift up to 75 lbs, climb stairs, etc.) across an on-site 12-building complex in Springfield, MA with 148 units under Section 8 subsidies.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 1 year experience in apartment maintenance
- HVAC certification preferred
- Must have a valid Driver's License and automobile insurance
- Flexible schedule including weekends and on-call
