Job Summary
Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot injection molding machines, molds, robotics, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment involving electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, servo, and stepper-motor controls. Complete preventive maintenance and repairs as scheduled, including cleaning, inspecting, and repairing customer-owned tooling. Respond to equipment alarms and breakdowns by identifying root causes, making safe repairs, and restoring production with minimal downtime. Support mold, material, color, and automation changeovers, including equipment setup, start-up, shutdown, and verification of work orders. Monitor molding performance, make authorized adjustments to process parameters, and troubleshoot defects with cross-functional teams. Install, configure, and commission automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and drives. Complete work orders and maintain accurate records of maintenance, downtime, and recurring issues. Provide technical guidance to operators and participate in continuous-improvement projects. Follow all safety, LOTO, environmental, and quality requirements. Work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- additional technical certifications or vocational training in automation, mechatronics, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and or plumbing
- Proven maintenance, automation, or process-technician experience, preferably in injection molding
- strong electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
- Strong knowledge of automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, robotics, servo drives, stepper motor controllers, as well as electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic controls
- Proficient in programming languages relevant to automation and electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, servo, and stepper motor systems, such as ladder logic or structured text
- Familiarity with injection molding processes, tooling, mold setup, process parameters, cycle optimization, and common molding defects
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals for electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, servo, and stepper motor components
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions related to electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, servo, and stepper motor systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment
- Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
