Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery, equipment, and systems, including conveyors, feeders, mills, and kilns. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing issues to ensure smooth plant operation while responding promptly to emergency maintenance requests. Follow safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment, and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities. Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and team members to prioritize and schedule tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues to minimize downtime and maximum efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance or technical role
- Experience with conveyors, feeders, mills, and kilns
- Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings
- Ability to work in an environment with dust and noise, and around equipment with higher than ambient temperatures
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- Technical or vocational training in maintenance or related field
- Strong mechanical and technical skills, including knowledge of electrical, automation, and hydraulics
