Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Repair and maintain fitness equipment across multiple facilities, handling electrical wiring, carpentry, plumbing, and general facility upkeep. Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards and promptly respond to maintenance requests via the Service Channel ticketing platform. Operate power tools, climb ladders, and move equipment weighing up to 100 lbs while maintaining inventory of supplies and tools. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on larger projects such as equipment installations and new club openings. Drive to and from assigned locations within the region, occasionally traveling overnight as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of handy work, facilities repair, or related maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of equipment repair, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general facility upkeep
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Outlook Email) and comfortable working with computers, including preventative maintenance system
  • Successfully worked both independently and as part of a team to achieve maintenance goals
  • Physically capable of repetitive tasks such as bending, climbing, lifting, and moving equipment
  • Possess a 'clean' driving record
  • Mentally alert, able to quickly learn new tasks and skills, troubleshoot, and complete assignments safely
  • Organized and can prioritize multiple tasks, pivot on the fly, and get stuff done
  • A team player who treats colleagues and members with respect and promotes a safe, cooperative work environment
  • Ability to talk and hear, sit, stand, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel
  • Required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • The employee must frequently lift and move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 100+ pounds
  • Reliable transportation is required when company vehicles are not provided
  • Must be able to climb ladders
  • Must be able to safely operate power tools
  • Must be able to move equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Fitness equipment experience is a plus
