Job Summary
Repair and maintain fitness equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, and general facilities across multiple gym locations. Conduct carpentry, painting, flooring upkeep, and landscaping tasks while operating power tools and responding to emergency requests via the Service Channel ticketing platform. Prioritize work based on urgency, collaborate with internal teams and vendors on new club openings, and maintain inventory of tools and supplies. Drive to assigned regions for on-site repairs, occasionally requiring overnight stays. This role supports IGNITE Fitness Holdings' 130+ Planet Fitness locations, ensuring safe, efficient operations for members and staff.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of handy work, facilities repair, or related maintenance experience
- Knowledge of equipment repair, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general facility upkeep
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Outlook Email) and comfortable working with computers, including preventative maintenance system
- Successfully worked both independently and as part of a team to achieve maintenance goals
- Physically capable of repetitive tasks such as bending, climbing, lifting, and moving equipment
- Possess a 'clean' driving record
- Mentally alert, able to quickly learn new tasks and skills, troubleshoot, and complete assignments safely
- Organized and can prioritize multiple tasks, pivot on the fly, and get stuff done
- Able to talk and hear, sit, stand, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- The employee must frequently lift and move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 100+ pounds
- Reliable transportation is required when company vehicles are not provided
- Must be available for overnight stays
- Must be available to assist other locations or regions based on business needs
