Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on production equipment and facility infrastructure, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues. Conduct routine inspections, read blueprints and schematics, and utilize diagnostic tools to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Respond quickly to breakdowns, perform light machining and fabrication, and operate forklifts and scissor lifts safely while maintaining strict lockout/tagout procedures. Work the 3rd shift (9:50pm - 6:00am) with a 1st shift training period required. This role supports a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on continuous improvement and facility reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing maintenance role
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Experience using a variety of hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic devices
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and squat
- Must have adequate vision (close, distance, color, and peripheral) and manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with plastic extrusion equipment
